Brad- I don't see the words "faith alone" anywhere in this bible passage.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so no one may boast." -Ephesians 2:8-9

Faith is more than just believing. It is allowing Jesus to save you. He offers us a gift and all we have to do is have Faith that it is sufficient to save us and accept it, and it will save us. Just out of curiosity, what do Catholics believe? (email me please)

Paul dogmatically says that justification is by faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9) Also compare Romans 3:28, 5:1 and Galatians 3:24
No matter what man does, he cannot reach God. All other religions teach that man can reach their god by works. However christianity teaches that Christ dying for our sins on the cross was a gift from God. We do not deserve it all, because we are sinful. The Father is so loving that he was willing to send the Son to die for us, and by believing that he did that we can be forgiven. No amount of works can bring you closer to God as the verses i showed you display.
Yes the Devil knows God exists, but he hates God. Christianity is about having a relationship with God and allowing him to come into your life and acknowledging that by his grace we are saved.

This gives a great explaination of saving faith which results in obeying Jesus's teachings. Faith is what saves us, but the proof that we have come into saving faith is that we love our brothers.
We are saved by faith (in Christ) unto good works. But the saving faith comes first. Both are important. God Bless.

faith is past belief in the power of your source - it is submission to the Creator, so you just said it. even satan has faith God (YHVH) is the Lord of Hosts (YHVH Adonai Sabaioth). as far as people - non-Catholics (Protestants) are more to follow Paul's letters and go after the concept of Faith with Deeds. Check it out and you'd see. Nothing wrong with that.

ummm cause they don't beleive in God. Of course the devil beleive in God he know he was his angel, fallen. Not everyone that isn't Catholic dis believes. Most people DO beleive in God.

I am a baptist and i have never heard anything bout the devil "believing in god"just that he works against God!
