do you only smoke when you drink?

I gave up smoking and drinking 4 months ago, the alcohol part was easy, the smoking part is really not easy. I haven't ventured to the pub yet but I always smoked more when I was in the pub, I would chain smoke 20 or more cigarettes. Usually I smoked less than 10 a day so I guess I smoked double that amount when I was drinking.

Well, I used to smoke "full-time" but quit about 6 months ago. It seems that when I drink, I automatically want to smoke. I've just stopped drinking until I can drink without wanting to smoke. I did have a friend who only smoked when they drank. For me, this is not an option....it's either all or none.

When I was younger, I used to. A lot of my friends did too. I could smoke almost a whole pack in one night if I was out drinking. It seemed to make you have a bigger buzz. However, the next day I couldn't stand to smell my clothes and hair. The taste in my mouth was terrible.

I never could see how anyone could get addicted to cigarettes. I got to where just smelling cigarette smoke made me sick. But, when you're not used to smoking, it can give you a real buzz.

Many people have told me that when they do quit smoking that they miss it most when they are drinking.

I smoke regardless of drinking or not. I feel people that only smoke when they drink are doing it for the soul purpose of fitting in with the rest of the crowd. If you dont smoke regularly you arent mentaly addicted so why bother?!

Once while I was out for a run through a bad part of town I started to smoke and to my surprise it was caused by this young lady that I had met at this all night party that I had gone to..
But once I got home it turned out not to be that serious, Too my surprise and un be known to me this young lady had blown my head gasket with out my knowledge. But I'm O.K. now
