Places like Best Buy, Office Depot, Staples, Circuit City are offering recycling for batteries. Or you can contact your local city government via website/phone call to find out where battery recycling facilities are.

There are battery recycle places in many towns. Phone a recycle depot in town and they should direct to one. In Montreal, some drugstores, city recycling depots, and some department stores receive them. Phone city hall, and ask.Or there may be an E.P.A. department office in town.
Good luck.

look in your local telephone directories, you might find a place that takes batteries & properly disposes of them.I,m just guessing but if a landfill that they may end ,does a burn, they could explode causing unnecesary harm to someone.
