Be very careful about low carb eating. A pharmacist told me the person who invented this method died a few years ago due to this method.

Here is why. When you eat less carb (less starch and sugar from bread, rice, noodles, etc), you are proportionally eating more protein. But you need sugar to metabolize protein. The lack of sugar will cause kidney damage in the long run. A way to prevent it is to drink a lot of water to dilute the metabolic residue going through the kidney.

Be really careful with this diet. Hope you have a good result.

Hey, there's a LOT of things you can eat that are low-carb. Most veggies are low-carb and high fiber. Meat is no-carb. There are a lot more whole-grain things out there now as well, those are lower-carb than the usual white-flour alternatives.

Take some of your favorite recipes, and see what you can do about adapting them to low-carb. Spaghetti noodles can be substituted by whole-grain noodles or spaghetti squash. You like potato salad - well, try making it with sweet potato instead, a little vinegar will cut the sweetness nicely. Things like that can help a lot.

Carbs are good for you ... especially when exercising, which is something that you really need to do if trying to lose weight. You can eat healthier than anyone on Earth, but it's not going to help anything if you don't exercise.
