I am hosting a VERY unconventional baby shower for one of my very unconventional friends.
this baby shower will have more like a party atmosphere, and there will be a keg for the non pregnant folks to partake of.
We will be playing pregnant twister with loaded balloons.
Any other ideas for games/activities, snacks, etc. will be greatly appreciated.

if you have any artistic friends...
buy a bunch of plain white onesies in various sizes and a couple packs of sharpie markers in a variety of colors. set up a table with the suppies and encouge folks to get creative.
remember to also put out some cardboard to stick inside them so the marker doesnt run through to the back. you can also hang up a clothesline inside with some clips so when someone finishes decorating their onesie they can hang it up for all to see.
did this at my shower and my sisters. big hit both times.

Well since I will be having my baby shower in the Summer we are just going to throw a party/barbecue with both of our families and friends. I don't know how "strange" that is but I am not into the whole girly stuff either. I don't think that it would be strange so have a shower at a resteraunt either, we had thought about that but I think a barbecue would be cheaper and people could mingle more and relax. Good luck!

well, not all of the guests are expecting so it's fun for them to play the baby shower games. The feeding of the baby food is always a fun one. To add a little twist, blindfold the person doing the feeding. You can also switch partners on them once they're blindfolded so they have no idea who they are feeding.
Having the guys at the party race to place a diapy on the baby(doll) is also another fun one. They can do this blindfolded.
These are just fun games I've played.

Blindfold each other and try to see who can get as many cotton balls in a bowl using a spatula..it is soooooo fun and hilarious to watch.
Also, you can take the labels off of baby food jars and let people guess (of course you know.) It is fun to see the reactions of what people think the "green" foods are.
Snacks...well, try finger sandwiches, veggie/fruit tray, chips, and a cupcakes make less of a mess than cake...

Do a few of the games they do on Whose line.. some thing like Pregnant Hoedown, Or Scences from a hat, or kind of a props thing with baby bottles and diapers stuff like that.. Watch the show it might give u some more ideas,,, Have fun....

One of my friend threw an unconventional party that sounds a little like your it was the best one I have ever been too. She also had a stripper.

Get yourself a bellycast / bellymask kit and make it a couple of days before the party. Once it is completely dry you can have everyone at the party write something nice like a welcome message to bub, or words of encouragement to the new mum(be tactful it is going to be read by the new child at some stage) or have everyone draw something on it. Truly a wonderful memento and keepsake!!
