if you are pregnant, it could be the cord if your water broke and the baby wasn't far enough down to block the cord from coming out first.
If you are not pregnant, it is possible that it is a blood clot, especially if you are on your period. Other than that I am stumped. I would go to a walk-in clinic if it isn't too late where you are, or if you are pregnant I would get to the emergency room as fast as possible.

Otherwise, good luck.

Well I think you should ask the doctor about this. Sounds like a clot or maybe a miscarriage but I personally would of got on the phone to the doc right away.

Hi. The first thing that came to my mind, even though that's a vague discription, sounds like the mucous plug. If you're not in your 3rd trimester I'd go see your OB/midwife!! Even if you are just about full term it's probably not a bad idea to get checked out.

Note: I know with large blood clots my OB said come in, so if it's tissue and it's significant, I'd get it checked out!

Congratulations mama-2-be!
Hope all is well.
God bless you and yours!

You could be expirencing unbilical cord prolapse. This is very dangerous because the cord can become blocked and stop blood flow to the baby. You should call an ambulance!

I think I heard that if anything larger than a size of a quarter comes out, you should go see a doctor. It could be a large clot, but really go to the md.

It's probably just thick mucous. You should go get checked. It might be your mucous plug.
