I don't particularly like my sister's husband and to begin with I really couldn't stand him and I hated the way he behaved and treated my sister. But I just try to tolerate him as much as I can. I don't want to hurt my sister by avoiding him or making my opinion of him too obvious. I love her and if this is what she chose for a husband I'll just have to accept that and try to get used to him.

You get used to a sore tongue from biting it all the time. I really dislike my brother-in-law, but neither he or my sister know it. Here's the thing... if you tell your sister how you feel, she will feel like she has to defend him and this will put you and her on the outs. If you care about your sister, keep quiet, let her know in not so many words that your there for her if you need her, and be there for her when she figures out what a jerk he is.

I don't hate him I am just not to wild about him, so basically I just ignore him, don't really ask about him. I love my sister and have to respect her choices, but I choose to stay away from him I do make small talk but that is about it.

Not much. Take the high road with him, be civil, talk to him and treat him like you would anyone else unless he does something to actually wrong YOU. Most importantly, stay out of it if there's a fight.

Be there for her when everything goes pear-shaped and she has to move out because he's a d*ck.

Well for me I would try to like him or find something about him that I would like cause after all he is now family. Unless of course you have a really good reason to not like the guy like he causes harm to your sis then tahts a different story.

Suck it up and be nice. She is supposed to put her husband above all. Talk trash and you will find yourself short a sister.

Do what you have to do. Ignoring him is a possibility. Spending as little time around him as possible it probably a good plan. Maybe confiding in your sister, too.....if that doesn't risk damaging your relationship with her.....?

Try to ignore him as far as possible. If you see him on social occasions just remain formal. If your sister is happy with him, just leave them alone.

I would mind my own business, but be there for my sister if she needed someone to talk to.

1st of all, hate is too strong of a word. I would suggest praying for him so God can change that negative things he has or pray for your self that the Lord helps you control your feelings towards him.
