MizzQ-T, I think maybe you should do a little research before making such blunt statements about someones health. First of all the ChickenPox vaccine is only 70-90% effective so yes some children will still get chickenpox after vaccination. The vaccine also helps reduce the severity of illness so those who do still get it after being vaccinated will only have a mild form of chickenpox. Don't be worried though because chickenpox is pretty harmless in children.

Mine did. The pox were going around and he got vaccinated. He broke out with a really light case of the chicken pox about a week after his shots. My other son....who most likey was not exposed (he was not yet in school) never got them even though he got the shot. My daughter who was too young for the shot....got the case from hell.

Yes if they did not form an immunity. I had them as a child and tested negative for the antibodies. I received the immunization and 14 days later had the chicken pox. The dr. told me it couldn't happen until I showed up at her office and she said, "oh ya, you got the chicken pox."

YES! I just took my daughter, and I read the information package they gave me. It said in it that there is a small chance the child may still get chicken pox, but if they do it will be a very mild case.

Yes. Working in a daycare I have seen quite a few cases. The vaccine does not give as good an immunity as actually contracting the illness.

yes - but it should be a milder case so the vaccination is a definite must in my opinion , chicken pox is serous and in some cases can be fatal , if it spreads to the brain
