Like all moms, I am soooo busy. I have three kids under six, and I work 12 hour days. My hubby helps in the kitchen too, but I've gotten into the habit of the same old meals all the time. Any suggestions???

Always on sale are those eye of the round roasts - good size for your family. Get a package of onion soup mix - brown the meat on all sides using a chichen fryer or larger skillet. Once browned add the onion soup mix and enough water to come half way up the side of the roast - or even cover the roast (makes more Au Jus)...this can simmer for hours - the more the more tender (While adults might not like how it falls apart, the kids will love it)

I suggest this as you can do this ahead of time and serves well as a reheat with any side dish you want. The meat juice can be thickened as well for serving with mashed potatoes.

We get good hard rolls had slice for sandwiches topped off with a good horseradish (hubby might like that!)

Spaghetti!
Hunt's sauce cheap but good!
Spaghetti Noodles.
Package of deli or frozen garlic bread
Cook garlic bread for 10 minutes at 425 in oven.
Boil noodles, drain.
Heat up sauce in small pan on stove or in microwave.
Takes about 15 minutes! I usually also microwave
some vegetable to go with this like green beans!

Heres another idea-
Corndogs and tator tots or Fries.
Buy state fair corndogs in meat dept of store.
Buy bag of frozen fries or tator tots!
Preheat oven put fries on cookie sheet for 22 minutes
When done nuke corndogs 45 seconds each.
Done! A treat! Not the healthiest meal though.
Soup and sandwiches are always a hit!

oh oh oh I made this recipe up because I'm 18 living on my own and mom never taught me how to cook. 3 ingredients! And my picking bf loves it!

-Cubed chicken (with your family size, I'd say 3 1/2 to 4 cups)
-Sesame ginger marinade (enough to evenly coat the chicken plus a little extra to fry in)
-Instant white/brown rice (about 1-1 1/2 cups per person, less for the kids)

Directions:
Marinate the chicken for at least 8 hours. Pour into a heated skillet and cook on low, adding marinade for more liquid. After cooking, serve over white or brown rice. To ad more flavor, substitute 2/3 of the water in the rice for marinade.

It's incredible!
