I want to be able to KEEP the weight off--not put it back on the following 2 days. I do exercise every day for 1 hr., eat mostly a vegetarian diet, no coffee, no cigs, no drugs. It's just that I have a class reunion coming up and would like to be the same weight as when I graduated 40 yrs. ago. Yea, I'm vain but I want to look the best I can. Wouldn't you, truthfully?

I can't get any healthier than I am--I'm very knowlegeable about nutrition, eating and sleeping habits, being stress-free, etc. What I need is a quick fix that I may be overlooking such as fat-flush, Hollywood Diet, Yerba Mate, fasting, etc. Just tell me something that is not so obvious as I don't know anyone who has a healthier life-style as I--just need to cheat this one time!

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming,running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions,pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull,leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

It's not healthy to lose 10 lbs in 1 week. You should focus on losing 1-2 lbs each week by eating healthy and exercising. By eating healthy it means drink water, eat poultry , eat lots of vegetables (the richer the color, the better) and eat grains. Make sure your meals are balanced and nutritious. Don't starve yourself, keep drinking water, and don't eat too much. make sure your portions are in accordance with the food guide pyramid or the nutrition info on the back. Don't eat processed foods.
Exercise: do moderate exercise for half an hour at least 3 times a week. Don't overexert yourself, but make sure you are working.
The weight isn't going to fall off, but if you keep up these habits, you will keep the weight off, and lose it in a healthy way.
Sorry, but it is impossible to stay healthy and lose 10 lbs in 1 week.

Every diet that makes you lose 10 pounds in a week is dangerous. Most of them cause you to lose water, not fat. This dehydrates you and ultimately can cause you to gain more weight (not to mention the other health risks). Forget quick diets, they don't work for you in the long run. Eat smart, exercise and consult a physician (just in case you weight is medical in nature) and get a body that is HEALTHY and slim.

Look, the other answer got it partially right. You would need to burn 35,000 MORE calories than you usually burn in daily activity. The average adult only burns 2,000 calories a day in normal activity. So don't even try it, it is impossible and not healthy. Set a realistic and sustainable weight loss goal that includes healthy eating and exercise. You will lose the weight, feel better, and stay healthy.

Eat more protein. Protein burns fat. Incorporate some beef into your diet. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and no soda products or any diet soft drinks. Also eat a bowl of special K for breakfast every morning.

I will give you a one week plan to loose 11 pounds minimum. Only problem is, can you maintain the loss. History shows that all diets who did not change liver from fat generator to fat burner, were not successful as craving started and you are back to square one.

a diet i have used which was developed by the british heart foundation really does work but it is hard to stick to

day 1 - eat only vegetables - have as much as you want but don't have anything else, no bread, no coffee, no fruit just vegetables and water

day 2 - eat only lean meat - again have as much as you want but only meat and water

day 3 - veggies again

day 4 - meat again

and so on, alternating meat and vegetables

it will work
