I consider my atheism a realisation. You have faith perhaps? Belief is not knowing by definition and the only thing provable in religion is faith. You trust your religion. I see things. I feel things. There is no physical proof of a god, at least, none that I can sense(smell, see, feel, hear, taste). Any thing that uses your imagination is a human's creation, like math. Thus, god is only an idea.
Hm.. Yeah, that sounds good.
I also some times say that god is insensible, thus, by definition, an idea.

I am a nontheist, which is similar to an atheist, but not quite the same.
An atheist believes that God doesn't exist. I believe that the existence of God is completely irrelevant.
If God told you to go out tomorrow and murder 50 people, would you do it? I sincerely hope not. Morality should be based on something deeper than the alleged "word of God" because many religions have used that as motivation to commit terrible crimes.

I am an atheist because there is no asatru, no buddha, no christ, no dharma, no eros, no fenris, no god, no horus, no isis, no jain, no kami, no loki, no mana, no necromancy, no osiris, no pandora, no quetzacoatl, no rama, no surtur, no tiamat, no utu, no venus, no woden, no xenu, no yeshua, and no zoroaster.
All religion is supposition and superstition. It's avoidance of reality without any evidence in reality.

I don't believe in god because I am a realist.
People who believe in god are affraid. They are affraid of death, and they are affraid that their life is meaningless, so they make god up to explain these things they don't understand (or are affraid of).
I try to accept the world as it is, no matter how scary it is, because believing in god is just a daydream, if a nice one at times.

and even though my parents are religouse jews i don't believe in g-d my lifes been too hard

I am, because there isn't a religion that makes any sense. Why teach people to hate? Why not teach love and understanding and to cherish our planet and each other?

I have yet found any credible reason to believe "God(s)" exist.
Billions of people claim(ed) "God(s)" exist, but not one has provided any credible evidence to support that claim.
