.indd to .pdf file. Is there an option in Indesign CS2, or do I have to download a separate program?

look under file>export

one of the pull down menus after the dialog box should be PDF.

It's built in to InDesign, no other programs are needed. You can go to File > Export as recommended in other posts here. You can also go to File > PDF export presets to choose one of the built-in or custom created presets.

There are free programs on the Internet that will allow you to "print" to a PDF file. It loads and acts like a printer driver. Instead of printing on paper, it creates PDF file.

Yes. I believe it's File > Export in InDesign.

try Command E, or on a PC it's control E, and one of the options to save the file as, is PDF.
