To community:
It creates awareness to people to have a healthy and clean sorroundings... Presence of mosquitoes inside or outside your home, means you have an exposed stagnant water, high uncut grasses or unclean sorrounding. It is sort of a wake up call.
To nature:
Male mosquitoes pollinates plants, they are nectar feeders. so it helps in pollinating plants, which is neccessary to humans. In almost all its species, only female mosquitoes sucks blood from animals, they need it for preparation of laying their eggs---which is of course necessary for the survival of their species.

Part of the food chain.
Note: food for frogs or lizards are not aceptable answers, this is just bs. Like another creature they contribute more or less.
Mosquitos themselfs, suffer from parasties (sp) that cause diseases they themselfs don't cause them but pass them on. If you check world health websites, you will find that in some areas, mosquitos are disease free and others are not.

Why is "food for frogs or lizards" not acceptable, even if it's true? How about "to keep down the human population?" Many species seem to be evolved mostly as a food or a check (balance) with another species. If you get too many deer, you need more wolves. If you get too many wolves, you need more deer.
The earth is a complex balance of forces, and it does not make a bit of difference whether we like or dislike a particular element, except to the extent that our attempts to change one thing changes many others. Remember that, since we are here on this planet, we are one of the forces of nature, too. Our "evolved" strategies for dealing with our problems -- the creation of domesticated species, for example -- are a part of nature, too. We evolved big brains and hands we can use to manipulate tools as a result of natural selection; what we do with them is a result of natural selection in favor of big brains and opposable thumbs and walking upright to free the use of our hands, etc. (There's a great article in National Geographic currently about the evolution and consequences of walking upright.)

Food for frogs or lizards...oh wait.
Seriously, that's probably the most important, but I would have to say population control as a second answer.

Mosquitos are a incredibly inportant part of our earths"food chane".Without them many animals and insects would not exsist, since these individual lifeforms feed solely upon mosquitos and nothing else. This inturn creates a possitive contribution for this life sustaining enviorment...tom science

Somewhere in the universe is there a being asking the same of you????
Being part of the food chain isn't acceptable????
At least in that, it would be far more a positive than people on here asking really absurd questions!!!

They help to keep pesky people from developed countries away from nondeveloped countries.
Could you imagine what it'd be like if there was no mosquitos?? It'd be America, Britain and Russia everywhere! There wouldn't be any environment left by now.

The have carried disease helping nature eliminate overpopulation and elimination of the weak of various species. From nature's point of view this is a good thing.

Long ago they got trapped in amber and that led to that guy in Jurassic Park making dinosaurs and that led to Jeff Goldblum almost getting eaten and anything that leads to that must be a good thing ... right?

Who says they have to benefit US?
They benefit themselves, and sometimes benefit parasites like heartworm in dogs as well as acting as a host for malaria and West Nile virus.
Remember, not all animals were put here for the sole purpose of benefitting us. They live their lives to benefit themselves or their species. We certainly don't benefit all animal or plant species in the world, why do we expect plants and animals to always benefit us?
