during a recent trip to india and pakistan i went to a hindu temple in alahabad, and met a hindu holy man who was selling his breath in bottles for 70 indian rupees per bottle. thousands of indians were buying these bottles filled with this man's breath for good karma. with its british past, high standard of education and modern people how come indians are still so superstitious?
( then again i saw a canadian couple buying 2 bottles as well)

That 's new. I have lived in Allahbad for a year yet I never came across any such thing.

Well as QT said christians have no copyright over idiots. We have them in India too. Just like we have hindus, muslims, jews, christians, zorostrians ......

And I also agree with QT that what you are saying is false. Either you misunderstood or making up a story. For one thing Hindus rarely spend Rs70 for such thing. It is hard money here. And every Hindu thinks he is as good a holy man as another.

Idiocy is not monopoly of christians. Like we have all religions in India, there are idiots, there religious, athesits, hindus, chrisitians etc.

But I still doubt your news is true... i take it as a part of bad-propaganda against hindus, which Missionaries have been doing for centuries.

I think it's whatever people invest meaning in. Look at all the money people send to Pat Robertson for a "prayer cloth." Or the money that people give to "faith healers."
