ok ill give 10 points to the first person who gets this right.
sitting on a fork in the road there is an angel and a demon, both look identical and each are blocking one side of the fork. one path leads to heaven(the one behind the angel) and the other path leads to hell(the demons side). you can ask one of them a single question. the angel will always tell you the truth, and the demon will always tell you a lie. what question do you ask to figure out which side leads to heaven and which leads to hell?

ask anyone what the other person will say if u ask him the same question....so whatever answer u get form that person select the opposite fork.....

Ask both of them is 2+2=4?....The demon will tell the wrong answer and the Angel will tell the correct answer. Thats how you'll know who lies and who tells the truth. And then you'll know which side leads to heaven and which side leads to hell.

It took me 22mins to solve your question, I read the others' solutions, and noone seems to have read the question properly.
The answer is this:--
Ask both of them this common question -" If I ask the other one which is the path to heaven, which direction will he point to?" Both will point to a same direction, the angel pointing to the hell path, coz he knows the demon would lie (and thus point to the path the demon would show, the path to hell), and the demon pinting to the hell too, coz he'll lie about the angel's answer (and show the opposite path to heaven). So take the opposite path to what both are pointing to, and it will lead to heaven. Got it? Nice puzzle, anyway.

You just ask "where do you live?" The demon will say heaven because he lives in hell and he'll lie and the angel lives in heaven and will tell you the truth. And the other path that they don't point to is hell.

You go up to either of them and ask which way will he tell me to go if it's the angel he will point to hell and if it's the demon he will also point to hell so you go the other way

Ask one which way you came from. If it points to the road you were walking down, take the path it is blocking. If it points somewhere else, take the opposite path.
