JAPANESE- Kimi o ai shiteru - I love you
JAPANESE- Aishiteru-I love You-most common
JAPANESE - Ora omee no koto ga suki da-I love you -manly express
JAPANESE-Ore wa omae ga suki da-I love You -manly express
JAPANESE- Watashi Wa Anata Ga Suki Desu -I like You similar to saying I love you- mostly used
JAPANESEWatashi Wa Anata Wo Aishithe Imasu- I love you -formal
JAPANESE- Watakushi-wa anata-wo ai shimasu - I love you -formal
JAPANESE- Suki desu (used early in the relationship)

anyone of these could be use in saying I LOVE YOU, they do not really express much affection in words but saying Watashi ga Anata ga suki desu.. means a lot like saying the real words...
....nice words to start with...goodluck !

the most common way to tell someone how you feel is by saying, すきだ。「suki da」 I like you. The literal phrase would be 愛してる「aishiteru」I love you But in Japan, "I love you" is not really a phrase you hear often. Japanese people don't like to throw the words around as much as we do in English. Instead, they prefer to shove love in actions rather than words. That is why it's not really a common phrase to hear, and instead they just say "I like you." (:

Aishiteru

"someone" o ai shite iru ("someone" を愛している)

Careful though. Japanese people don't say "I love you" as readily as other people in other languages do.

It's a lot more common to hear something like, "kimi no koto ga dai suki da."(君のことが大好きだ)

watashi wa anata wo aishiteiru
私 は あなた を 愛している
But just say " ai shiteiru 愛している" or " suki desu 好きです" for saying "I love you" in Japanese.
