I think you question is beautiful (except for the cuss part). You should treat a lady and I mean lady with respet. If the girl does not like to be respected than you should stay away from her, because is she really the type of person you would want to have kids with and if you did how would they turn out. This world is changing b/c it is getting closer to the "end times". That does not mean a man or woman should not be respectful and have Godly convictions. If people make fun of you so what. Are they really the type of people you want to be around anyway especially if you have children. Do What is RIGHT NO MATTER WHAT. If you trust in Jesus than there will be a better reward waiting for you in heaven.

I agree with you. I always hold the door open for someone else (most times these same people don't even acknowledge it, like I'm the door lady or some such thing). Even with this though - I always still hold the door open, help an elderly person with his or her groceries, always say "please & thank you" - still call my elderly neighbors either Mr. or Mrs. (I won't use their first names), always smile at someone and have a kind word.
It's nice do something for no reason at all. I always feel better after doing so. Even if I'm not feeling in the best of moods, doing something nice for someone else always cheers me up as well.
Have a lovely rest of the evening.

Actually, I have noticed that being nice and holding doors really varies from area to area, town to town and is seen to a lesser degree in cities compared to towns that are set in rural/remote areas.
I'm not knocking those who live in cities for not opening doors for others; I actually think that the same people if they stayed for a month in a 'sleepy' town in a rural setting would start opening doors too... I think it has to do with the pace of life/society that discourages slowing down for a couple seconds to let a lady go first or hold the door for someone who has lesser mobility...
I notice this in my own behavior... I lived outside Toronto for several years... when I lived rural I'd hold the door for others a fair bit... when I started commuting to Toronto, I'd hold the door for others if I had time to spare and if they seemed to need help (or if it was a good looking woman)... Now that I live in a Canada's smallest city (in northern Ontario) 2 hours removed for any other city, I hold the door for others at least 75% of the time that the opportunity presents... Why, because I've slowed down to the pace of the community... and I'm not the only person holding doors, I don't go up town without seeing someone hold a door for someone outside of their own party...
BTW, I've seen kids get a swat for not holding a door and letting and others go first so I do think that this will be passed down to next generation... So, I don't think manners and being nice are gone. I just think sometimes people are too self-involved to notice others and help meet their needs...

More money is being pumped into circulation. It gets into everyone's head more and more every day. Naturally, the non-commercial and the beautiful aspect of being a human becomes less and less !

I'm nice to people for no reason all the time. Treat others how you want to be treated is my motto.
