A boy and his dog and his constantly eaten underwear?

My dog (female) eats my underwear - chews right through the *** of them every chance she gets. She is anxious when i go out and she never gets too far from me. She is a great dog - but why eat my undies and what can i do to lessen her seperation anziety? I was hoping she'd just out grow it - I got her at 8wks she has never been hit abused or really even yelled at but at the age of 2 I am starting to think growing out of it is off the list.

Our dog did that too. We finally started putting our underwear where she couldn't get to them. She trained us well.

get her a kong toy- you fill it up with somehting like peanut butter or cheese and they'll chew that instead of your clothes.
She has the sep. anxiety because she thinks that if she's not near you, something bad will happen. DO NOT give her special attention when you leave the house- that's what forms it. Just say "bye" and leave. Give her the kong toy ONLY when she is alone so she has something to look forward to when you're gone.

have you talked to your vet about getting your dog on some meds sometimes with separation anxiety dogs need alittle bit more. Just call your vet and you can also do a search here online for more information on separation anxiety also. She may also be doing that for attention. You can also try a few pennies in a pop bottle when she starts to chew on ur undies.

She probebly likes the smell. Maybe you should wash/ change your undies more often. LOL srry that was bad!!!

SHE LIKES YOUR SCENT!! STOP LEAVING HER ALONE WITH YOUR UNDIES.. TRY PUTTING SOME CAYENNE PEPPER ON ONE PAIR OF THEM AND LEAVE THEM WHERE SHE CAN FIND THEM SEE IF THAT BREAKS HER, IF NOT DON'T LEAVE THEM LYING AROUND AND SHE WANT EAT THEM.
