Do an advanced search on http://www.cars.com . I just did one on a Jetta TDI for the Chicago area and came back with about 12-15 choices.

TDI's are in high demand. due to the MPG's and price of gas these days. Have you check w/ a vw dealer about ordering one ? The only TDI's the dealer near me had was 5 speed. I would have to wait 6 months to get a TDI dual (auto w/ a dual 5 speed).

I know what you mean! I live in IL and there aren't any VW Beetles to be found either. I would try ebay... some deals stick their cars on there and then they can move it to another dealer that would be closer. OR you can go with me one day to Chicago and we can buy new cars together.
