In the Army, you pick your job. If you want a desk job, that's what you pick. Check out the medical professions. All the doctors have "desk" jobs. They may have to go to a hostile zone, but they will stay in the hospital.
For the Army, check out this site: http://www.cs.amedd.army.mil/
If you're still interested, talk to your local recruiter. Be adamant, tho, that you want to talk to an AMEDD recruiter.
Good luck

When you enlist, you get an opportunity to request an MOS (Military Occupational Specialty). There are a number of desk jobs. Off hand, I would say that something like IT (Information Technology) or Military Intelligence - all offer different types of desk jobs. To best answer your question, visit with a recruiter. He/she can give you detailed information as to what MOS's offer an inside desk job. With a Psych degree, you may find a place in the medical side of the house. good luck/

Military Supply Corps. The Navy desk job is usually the better of the duties (more options for stations both state-side and overseas).

Talk to a Navy Officer recruiter, you can enter the Navy as a Psychologist, however, you might have to have your masters, I'm not certain. If you do't have you're masters you can still go into the Officer program, you'll just have to choose from other jobs.

Too good for a Non-desk job? Destined to be a REMF? Somebody has to keep all the people in the rear safe.
