You are 18, he is 23. It is normal for him to be way more experienced. YOU will be the same at the age of 23, if you find someone that will "teach" you...It is not a bad thing to "learn" from the partner. Even if you were 23 too, you would still have something to learn from him; in his turn, he would (and will) have something to learn from you. If you have a relationship, that means that he likes the way you are. Try to discuss "openly" to him, to be sincere, to tell him that you are afraid but you want to try...Good luck ;)

Go for it if you really want him. It could be a great learning experience for you. If he's more experienced than you, he can help you gain experience without both of you nervously fumbling around to get things right. He'll also be more likely to be patient & understanding with you. Besides, in 5 years, that age difference won't seem so large after all. Just take precautions, & enjoy.

I was 16 when i met a 21 year old guy....and we were so great together. its better when a guy is mature. go for it, if your instinct is telling you, he is sweet, sincere and mature- the number should not stop you. Dont be intimidated by his experience- in a way, its a good thing-- he'll be able to give you a lot more things than the guys your age can give you.
And...believe this- i wanted to wait until i was married to have sex, he completely respected that--and started to love the idea.

It's best to get your experience from someone that you love and want to be with, that is no reason to break off a good relationship. Everyone had to learn sometime and best to learn from someone who is experienced. If it does not bother him, then you shouldnt let it bother you either. You will catch up and then you'll wonder what all the fuss was about.

Considering that you are an adult, the age difference isn't that much. Just take things slow. Don't let him or anyone intimidate you. Go to a bookstore or the library and find a book about ways to please your man. He better be for pleasing you to.

Why be intimidated by his experience? Move carefully, I am not saying the age difference is a problem, but you are young and have your hole life ahead of you.

go for it. And i will tell you my reasoning. He can teach you things that you would have to learn from immature guys. As long as you TRUST him in what he is teaching you experience wise. If you back out now you will always wonder, what if? my advice is to follow your heart. Even if it gets broken in the end, never regret something that made you happy.

girl, go for it! i had a lot of fun with 18 &19 year olds. i mean as long as they are legal and u care for each other. i mean, i was a lot older than u when i dated them ( yes, them! ) just don't take it too seriously until u are sure of his intentions because guys that age are usually just looking for a good time.

If you are intimidated by ANYTHING, maybe it's your conscious trying to tell you something, Just please, since he is WAY more experienced, IF you do go for it, use protection. Just follow YOUR head, think it through carefully.
