I think about the times I`ve felt the presence of God or I can go some where close to mother nature,in the woods,or near a waterfall.

I try to get somewhere quiet by myself and pray. You can talk to God any where and any time. Hes always close by and he longs to communicate with us and help us with our problems. All you have to do is ask. It really is that simple. I hope this helps. God bless you.

Standing by water is a tranquil way of calming down yes that is good. But you can also try to do something around the house say.. listen to some music or write in a journal. Or even talk to a friend. Sometimes when talking about problems it helpes the stress level dwindle away.

When I get all stressed out, I usually do different things at different times , depending on my mood. sometimes , i listen to guided meditations or relaxing music.
The best type of relaxing music for me is the sounds of water and the ocean waves .It really relaxes me each and every time I use it.
Then sometimes what i do is just focus on my body. let go of all thoughts and stories going on in my mind. I change my view point , just see the impermanence of things. I see that one day I would die and all the stories all the struggles that i am undergoing would become useless. My quest for perfection or success or material things would come to an end when death comes, bringing with it the peace of heaven, where material things become all useless.

this really relaxes me a lot.

One of the best ways to calm down is to watch your breath as it flows naturally noticing all the various sensations it creates. If you are able to stay focussed on it for as little as 10 minutes you will see that the tension and stress just melt away.

Breath watching is one of the oldest and most popular meditations around the world (Gautam Buddha probably made it so famous) and its undeniable theraputic and other benefits have been recorded the world over.

Enjoy.

I try to find someone to have sex with near a waterfall or in the woods. Honestly it takes my mind off of everything else.

The beach, the sound of the waves, the seagulls, the breeze on my face, the heat of the sun.
Can you tell I feel a lot of stress?
