The last statistic I saw for the U.S. estimated that 70 million Americans are living with a chronic disease (heart disease, cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer's, etc.). The CDC (Center for Disease Control) estimates that 7 out of 10 Americans will die from a chronic disease.
