Warm milk may work. And, as dirty as this sounds, an orgasm shortly before bed will usually put a person right to sleep.

My doctor says to only lay in bed for 30 mins. if you are not asleep get up & go to another room. Read something boring, watch a non stimulating TV show, flip thru magazine, or get on web as long as it is something you will not stay with. Wait 15-30 mins. & try to sleep again. Keep room dark, quiet, & restful.
It cost me $185 an hour for that advice.

Keep an eye on what you eat and drink 3 or 4 hours before the time you want to sleep. If there is caffeine in any thing you eat or drink that could be the problem

The best remedy to sleep disorder is PEACE OF MIND! Get rid of your troubles and have inner peace. A good book would help. Pills may have negative side effects.

Mentally relax each part of your body, start at your feet, Slowly mentally speak "I am relaxing my feet, my feet are relaxing, releasing the tensions of the day", then calves, then knees, all the way up to you face/head. Repeat if needed, but it does work.
