I know the answer everyone gives, but a coin collector could say one is a quarter the other a silver half dime, or one is a dime and the other is a twenty cent piece. Both half dimes and twenty cent pieces were made in the US and are legal tender still.

you can make 30 cents from 2 quarters if you ex- change it, like trade the 2 quarters to get 30 cents .
