If you can afford it, go to your vet and get Frontline. It not only repels fleas, ticks & mosquitoes, it kills the eggs too. If you can't afford it, Wal-Mart or KMart have inexpensive flea & tick applications. I use these myself and have no flea problems whatsoever. As for your house, bug bombs. If you can't use those, put containers of soapy water on the floors, in each room, and place a light (lamp) over the water. Fleas will jump in soapy water and drown. Good Luck!

I have had good success with a 50/50 mix of Jergen's hand cream the cherry vanilla flavored kind (Equate brand) with water and spraying in on my dogs. I bet it smells better than vinagar, LOL. Avon sells something called Skin So Soft (I think) thatcan be used the for the same thing. The Avon rep knows the mix ratio to use.

The other issue is fleas in your home. I find that vacuuming often really helps keep the flea population down. Keeping a flea collar in the vacuum bag works well also. Once or twice a year I buy a flea killing spray and spray it along the baseboards of my house, inside the couch and other nooks and crannies that fleas tend to hide from. Bombing doesn't work for me unless I remove couch cushions.

The only kind of bug bomb I found that worked for a really bad infestion of fleas was from Raid. It comes in a pack of three cans, in an orange box. It works really great. I use it whenever I have the problem you mentioned. It will take a few days to completely get all the fleas, because of new ones hatching out, but it really does the trick. You'll be satisfied with the results.

You need to get something called Frontline and put it on your pets. It's a little solution that goes on the back of their necks and when ticks or fleas bite them, they die. That takes care of the ticks on the pets, and if flea bombs arn't working you can use a cheap method that I used to use. Get out a small desk lamp and a plate, bowl or saucer with low sides. Fill that plate with soapy water and put the desk lamp over the bowl so that the light shines down on the water. The fleas will be drawn to the light or the heat, I'm not sure which, and will jump into the dish and die. Back when my family was broke that's what we used to do and it worked believe it or not!

Do all of the above then when you go to vaccum, be sure to use the attachment around the edge of the walls and the inside of your furnature and stuff like that. I had the same problem years ago when I got a kitten. It felt like they'd never go away. I finally learned that the vaccuming helped a lot. Remember to THROW AWAY the vaccum bag once your done each time. You'll probably have to completely clean the place a few times before they're gone. Keep flee-dipping the dogs too.

There is a flower called Flea Bane. It's a type of Daisy. Plant it my your doors where the dog come in and out.

Bomb the house. 2 weeks later bomb it again. 2 weeks after that, bomb it a third time. That is how long it takes to interrupt the breeding cycle and kill the pests.

TRUST ME ON THIS ONE.

Go to the vet and have them give you revolution. It kills fleas and its eggs if they touch your dogs. It wont wash off! Then vaccum everything and use a premise spray when the dogs are outside.

I battled fleas for a while. This is the trick!

If your dogs are bringing them in give your dogs vitamin B supplement and put lavender oil on their bedding . The fleas may be infesting your yard . Home Depo will have the right stuff for that.

If you don't have kids, bomb'em. Go the a pest control center and they have strong stuff to use instead of the over the counter stuff.
