No "one" invented color TV. The analog system now in use was initially developed by RCA in the late 40's early 50's. A competing system was also developed by CBS. The National Television Systems Committee (NTSC) was established to set the standards for color TV in the US. They based their standards on the RCA system.

More recently another committee was formed to select standards for digital television. It is called the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC). That is why you will see new televisions which have "ATSC" tuners.

This question has already been answered by me ! The answer is----Nobody invented CTV !!!! it was developed by a few scientists working independantly ---mainly John Logie Baird and the Russian Nipkow !!!
