my daughter is 10 and a half months old, her dad and i split about 9 months ago, when is the right time to start dating again?

The right time is when you feel ready. This is your life and no one knows what is best for you but you yourself. If you are ready, someone you are interested in has asked and you have reliable care for your children, go out and have a great time. You don't have to give up a personal life just because you are a mother. You are entitled to happiness too...just always make sure your children are your priority.

Be very careful about the men you allow into your daughter's life.
When you do date, they do not need to meet your child unless the relationship has become serious and is really likely to become permanent. It is rough on kids to try to bond with each of a series of men traveling through thier mother's life. It truly alters their self esteem and thier own future relationship skills.
