That's one of those technical questions. No, God did not create evil but obviously He knew that evil would come about in His creation so although He didn't directly create evil He created beings and circumstances knowing that evil would result.
As to why He did that, it's one of those questions where you just have to trust that some greater good that far outweighs the evil that will exist for what is really just a minute fraction of all eternity will be the result.
If you want to go on and ask why He couldn't just make the greater good come about instantaneously without all of the thousands of years of evil, I don't have an answer for you on that one. Maybe it has to do with there being some necessary ingredient in the creation process that includes operating in these 4 dimensions that we are aware of. That would be my best guess.

Yes everything was created by God for God yes even Satan but when he was created he was Lucifer the most beautiful angel in heaven the musical angel He wanted to be like God he wanted to be like the most high his pride is what cause him to fall yes even the angels were created with a freewill he took a third of the angels with him were here to earth where Satan has been building his kingdom every since but his time is short and he knows what awaits him and he will try to take every last soul with him till the end why God does what he does wont know until the end which is really the beginning.
Everything has a opposite love evol all evol will become the eternal lake of fire like the sun in the sky that burns forever and ever this is what is called hell

God Originally Created the Devil as a good angel. However, just as God Gave humanity the Gift of Free Will, so too, the angels started out with this choice, & Satan along with millions of other angels willfully rejected God, & thus, were cast out of Heaven.

Evil born after Luzbell decided to be away from God along with other angels from heaven. Evil, as Albert Einstein proved, is only the state of being without God, not a noun to be born or created.
I got a powerpoint presentation that may help you to understand this concept better, would you like to receive it?

God created both good and evil because there has to be a balance in the universe. If there was no evil, we would not know the existence of good.

God created EVIL, you are right but God also created a brain for humans to think and understand what is GOOD and what is Evil. Good doesn't wants us to live in a world there is only GOOD. He wants us to live in a world where EVIL also exists. But he wants us to think with the brain he gave us and wants us to avoid the EVIL and take only the GOOD. That way we will always remeber and worship god to avoid the EVIL.

I'd say, if god exists, he IS evil...
Consider:
Supposed god is omnipotent, and omniscient.
He knows how everything will turn out. He knows the future.
If the future is known, it can't turn out any other way.
I we were created by a god, then there is nothing we can do about our fate. Thus, we have no free will.
Since god knows exactly how we will turn out, and we have no choice but to be the way he made us, then the people that go to hell were destined to go to hell, and they had no choice. God creates people specifically to go to hell???
That is an IMMORAL god, if you ask me.

He also must have known that people would reject him, yet he still got mad and killed everyone by flooding the whole world. I guess when god dot bored he created evil to entertain himself and to make himself feel good and important.

GOD created every thing., but few things / persons have disobeyed the gods directions and will., so they are called anti god., following /obeying GOD will be termed as good and any other thing is BAD., unfortunately it is easy to follow bad than remain good. so its in our hands to choose.
So we create evil by not following GODS' will.
