The problem with Americans is that they take everything for granted and they dont place in others peoples shoes.

But, what if you were on the other side of the fence. what if you would have your children starving yelling daddy Im hungry and you feel impotent because what you make is enough to give them food just once a day (the lucky ones), you dont have many options so what would you do? Its a matter of survival, I would do the same thing if I would be in that position. Cross the border! make money and feed my family !

First and foremost - I would not have more kids than I can afford! For the kids I do have, I would not be going to another country with expectations of handouts in order to support and feed all those kids I chose to have. Apparently, your side of the fence is the 3rd richest country in the world - demand your government share the wealth with its citizens!

If you make the choice to have too many children and then you make the choice to cross the border into the USA illegally, then know that you will face the consequences at some point, when you are caught, and just pay the piper and don't whine and complain. You knew the risks when you crossed the border.

HMMMM... You have no valid argument. Why should our country provide for another countries starving people? I don't see why, I give to my church so they can provide for needy Americans and am extremely tired of my government providing for other countries. This is about illegal immigrants anyway. Why do we go off the subject and in some dorky direction. I will be empathetic to those who are needy in America only. Because, yes, I am fortunate enough to pick and choose. I love this country and I see it being a third world crappy place in the near future, and, I bet if I jumped the border when this happens, I'd be shot and not given the humane treatment my government gives to millions of criminals who do the same, under the guise of feeding a poor family. I will donate money for birth control methods to third world countries so that they won't have so many starving children that they thoughtlessly created.

They are not taking the jobs Americans won't take. Any American I know would love to have a job in a plant here in my home town that is over run with mexicans. There are numerous ones on state jobs that a lot of men I know have tried to get. They walk around with their gold dripping from their necks and fingers, drive a better car than I do, use food stamps, have medicaid to pay for doctors and dentists (programs that I pay for every time they take all that money out of MY paycheck) don't pay a dime in taxes if they buy a house or pay taxes from their jobs. I would be so lucky if I could live like that,.

I have been to Mexico many times and yes some are poor but we also have poor here. From what I have seen no one over there looked underfed to me. All the children looked healthy and all the babies were fat. I think Mexico has as many over weight folks in that country as we do in ours..
The minimum wage over there is 4.00 an hour not too much less then ours is here. Plus the cost of living is a whole lot cheaper over there. The ones I seen on T.V. crossing the border have on expensive looking shoes and are dressed better then a lot of Americans.. The countries south of Mexico are a lot worse off. They are going into Mexico to go to work and take jobs that Mexicans don't want.

If I were on the other side No, I would not sneak over to another country. I would work in my own country for min wage if I had to work 2 jobs to be able to stay in my country with my family, and just make the best of it. With the cost of living being so cheap over there you could get on your feet quick working two jobs, even at min wages. I know many Americans that have to work two jobs just to be able to make it...

I know what I WOULDN'T do!! I wouldn't go into another country ILLEGALLY, freeload off the programs the PEOPLE of that country PAID for, and start DEMANDING rights that I was not entitled to. I would much rather stay in my own homeland and unite with others and fight for my rights. But then I am from strong people and we know how to survive when things get tough.

If he were a "man" he would plow a field and plant some corn, tomatoes, peppers, FOOD. Raise some chickens and pigs! Go fishing, snare a rabbit, shoot a quail! DUH!

angela R- If it's coming back to us in tenfold, I wish it would hurry up, I need my millions!!

Good point! Thank you for stating the obvious!

I wished to God some of these people would have been born in some third world country, to see how the real world lives. Its only by pure grace they are here, through no choice of their own, they should be grateful and have some humility.

That wonderful law of the universe that states what ever you put out there in, be it love, compassion, hate, bitterness, passion etc., it will return to you TEN fold.....

Hey tina, arent you an American, I have heard illegals that speak better english then you....

We do NOT "take everything for granted"!!! We have worked HARD for what we've got!! We never took welfare, and we never SPONGED off anyone else!!

And,i NEVER expected someone ELSE to feed MY kids!!! If i could NOT have supported them, i would not have had them in the FIRST place!!!! These people should have THOUGHT about THAT,before they started popping out all those kids!!!
And, i would NEVER even think of SNEAKING across the border into another country!!!
Therer are NO excuses VALID enough,to BREAK THE LAW!!!!

Well I am not, sorry.... I would cross though, but you don't get to ***** and moan, and get all up in arms when you get punished for breaking the laws... Come on! Get real. Stop trying to justify breaking the law you douche! They should be glad for the time they were here, and that they are not being fined or jailed.

esper_d, They should put your picture next to ignorant. You call other people racist, then use the word gringo..... Real smart. Oh yeah, last I checked this land STILL belongs to the US....

well, think about this for a minute, american industries know they can pay you less than americans because less than what we normally get is more for you, so therefore we lose our jobs to someone that will take lower pay, and then we are in the same situation as you were before. i know many people around my area who have lost their jobs because of this reason. some americans may take things for granted but not all of us. some of us work just as hard as you do to eat and have a home and take care of our families the same as you. so since i have no right to judge you please do not judge all americans. some of us are in the same situations as you.

I wouldn't be STUPID enough to keep having kids when the ones I already had were hungry! That's common sense, something they obviously don't have and I am tired of hearing that they are starving!!!!! What a bunch of crap! If they are starving, why do I keep seeing these little fat Mexicans here?
