I completed my 12 (high school ) and I am from india. I am going to join in b-tech.
There are three branches for me to choose and I had equal interest in these three

1) Mechanical

2) mechatronics

3)electronics and communication engineering

Also I am sure I will do my M.S.

well it depends of what u see yourself doing for the rest of your life..
i'm majoring in ece.. it's hard it takes a lot of time, and most of the tmie i'm wishing i had studied something easier like cooking or something.. but then when i'm in class and the professor teaches us the architecture of processors and u picture yourself designing your own pentium 10 or something is soo cooool. the fact that the things you're learning are how the world works and that it is so much to do to improve it and that u are in capacity of doing it is the coolest thing. to know that the future of digital communications, the future of computer hardware, the future of security electronics is in the hands of your generation and that u can be an importat part of it is gratifying enough to keep investing most of my time on it

hey! im doin my mechanical engg. mechatronics is one of the subjects tht we learn. it is a modern day subject.
it mainly deals with types of sensors, integrating electronics & mech. it is totally interdisciplinary with inputs required from knowledge of mech, electronics, electrical n other disciplines.
most industries are already fully automated for production & control. so, this will have great value in the present scenario.
i would suggest u take mechatronics bcoz, its the future!

i would say go for mechaical all this automotive engieerggin and mechatronics are too specific. i'm a general mechanical engineer and i have had friends in automotive engineering (automotive engieering is 4 coursses more than a general engieering degree) they are looked down upon becase people who hire(generally not engieers) feel that they are too concentrated on the automotive industry. whatever u do. goodluck

depends on what you like. if you like robots, get mechatronics. But for me, i prefer ECE because i like communications and electronics. and i can do also robots with ece. but in mechatronics, there is in depth discussion about robots.
