Definitely.
Carly Simon has a song that I equate with su*c*de.
I was very hurt by someone. It crushed me to my core.
I got into a warm bath and sang that song. Sad sad getting sadder. I started to get so weak and started to let go until I realized that I was letting myself die.
I'm astonished that I could have willed myself to do that. I dont think it is possible as a norm.
I think I must have zeroed in on a part of my brain with that song and was using some unused part of my brain to absorb that song into my being.
In the song she travels in water. I was in water-however, it wasnt like I was going to go under the water and drown.
Just drift away.
I hope that makes sense.

Yes. One time, I was dumped by my gf, and it hurt so bad I cut off my ring finger (the finger that had a our relationship ring on) and stomped on it. I passed out from seeing blood. Hit a counter corner (I was in my kitchen because thats where I got the knife), and lost my left eye. I didn't die, but I lost a finger, an eye, three pints of blood, and was in a coma for three days. There you go.

I guess there have been a few cases reported where people who have been married like longer than most people live lose their spouse and their heart suddenly stops working. That would be dying of a broken heart.

Not hardly. There is no greater cop-out. There realy is no such thing as the only true love, and if, or when, it is not returned does not by any means, mean that there may not be an even greater love out there.

No, but love should lift you up so much, that you would die for the person you love.
Otherwise, you're probably depressed.

If that's all your living for then yes. Hopefully most ppl have others in their lives or something else that needs them and their attn to keep living on. I think it is very selfish to let go of life for that reason.
