Why is this? We have the best relationship when we're together, but it's like she is a totally different person on the phone or IM. It's like she isn't interested, but she's the one who starts these conversations. I've talked to her about it, but she is indignant. What's wrong? Any opinions about this? Thanks in advance for the help.

I forgot to add this, but she talks to people all the time on MySpace and IM. It's just me she's short with because she seems to hit it off quite well with certain people (ie mostly guys) on there.

sounds like she is showing off in person...she wants everyone to know she has a boyfriend...Is it that she likes you for a friend, but doesn't want to be committed? sound like she is not sure what she wants...maybe she is too young

I think she is into you. But some people are not very epressive over the phone or IM. They need that physical as well as an emotional connection. Believe me, I am one of those girlfriends. We can't wait until we see you. IM or phone calls aren't enough for us. We want you around. I hope this helps. Need more advice, you can contact me.

this is my personal opinion.
if she's not giving you the attention you require, you need to say just that. say something like 'i know you have a romantic interest in me, as you know i feel the same. but i don't think my emotional needs are being fulfilled. if we need to establish what kind of relationship we have in order for us BOTH to move FORWARD, maybe that's a conversation we need to have. i want to be with you, but i fear you are not receptive to my actions; that makes me feel horrible, and i know that's not your intention. why don't we lay all our cards on the table and talk about US.
Communication is the key; sounds good to me. :c)

I don't like chatting online or on the phone either...in person is much better. Maybe it's just her preference to talk and be affectionate in person!

that's funny. i sorta have the same problem. i am comfortable talking to my friends in person, but i'm uncomfortable talking to them on the phone. i rarely talk with them on the phone. i thought that i'm the only one like that. maybe they should have a name for this "phobia" -- they already have a name for other fears for "fear of spiders" or "fear of heights"...

believe it or not, some people just aren't phone people or texting people. they are way more lively in person,so don't take the distance personally. if i were you i'd be more concerned if it were the other way around.

Hmm, spend more time with her face-to-face, less time on electronic communication?

Perhaps when she's not with you, she wants time to herself.
