You can, but its not such a good idea. I am assuming you wish to straighten the dread itself and not flat iron it out - because that will NOT work- but trying to iron the dread will really damage the hair and can really hurt the dread. your hair must be healthy to support all the weight that dreads accumulate over time. If you want to straighten a dread- my best advice is leave it alone and eventually the wieght will pull it straight. And curly bouncy dreads are cute- you can rock that!!!

I think so. The best thing to do is go to a professional salon and ask them. If you can they will know what type of flat iron and styling product to use.

I'm sure you can. Flat ironing damages hair, so it encourages an even more dredful look.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you don't mind having a bed of straw for hair.
