First of all, the troops are NOT dying for no reason and every time someone like you says that - it undermines every man and woman currently serving their country in Iraq. Second, we have and are maintaining our troops over there as long as we are for the sole purpose of ensuring the Iraqi government does not fall apart when we leave. Third, we have NOT finished what we went there to do! This is a war against terrorism - the war continues.

We can support our government or vote them out. All of this negative press and attitude from the citizens is just making it more difficult to win the war and get our people home. How do you think it feels to be over there and you keep hearing all this S*** coming from your countrymen about "the war is bad, we are an evil country, we need to get out". It would kind of make you feel a bit unappreciated wouldn't It. You can't support our troops and not the war. They are the ones fighting the war. They are the ones dieing for your ides of nothing.

Before you jump to a judgement like that talk to some of the servicemen who are there or have been there. I have talked both on the internet and in person with several and without exception they have all told me that what we hear in the media here is a distortion. They say that what they are doing there is worthwhile, and although dangerous to some extent, not as bad as we think at home. I am also told that the vast majority of the Iraqi citizens thank them for what they are doing. I have to accept their assessment of the situation, for who knows better than they do?

there is nothing we can do, its up to the government. but as far as getting them out there is no such thing now. many troops will stay forever so to speak. we will always have military presence there. even with a pull out, about a third there will rotate every 12 to 18 months. government already decided it under its military plan.

one thing is if all the whiners about the war would shut up and write their wienie congressmen who are making idiotic proposals about withdrawl before the job is done. you don't know how much encouragement our enemy gets out of negative attitudes that American citizens have toward the war effort. If you don't believe me read what North Vietnamese have said about the American anti war movement during the war.

If USA fought wars like Israel, we'd win. Then we can come home. It's all this PC nonsense which delays Victory.
