Interesting question, but as a believer, does it really matter? Is it what he calls us to do? All he wants from us is our worship and praise, to accept his Son, to spread the gospel. When we pose these same questions we just give fuel to the fire of non-believers. I've read the Bible through many times and He chose not to share that with us, and I figure if he didn't think we needed to know it, then I don't need to question about it. If I need to know it, then the answer is in His Word. Still an interesting question though!

Well, that's exactly the definition of god: someone who doesn't need a cause.
It's the cause and effect law. Everything needs a cause. And you are right, you're looking for a cause for God Himself. But even if you'd find a answer, the puzzle goes on: who created that cause that created God? And you can go like that forever if you don't realize that somehow you have to stop, that it must be a Supreme Cause somewhere behind that doesn't need a cause. It's the cause for Itself and for all the other things. It makes sens. And you can name that cause GOD.

That's a good question to ask, it shows you're thinking for yourself. If you believe in a god that created everything, nobody created him and the question is unanswerable, if not downright blasphemous. If you think there should be an answer to the question, perhaps you should explore the idea that god isn't what you've been taught.

Guess you will never know that. Because the earth and everything in it is of the natural realm... whereas God is supernatural. He is outside of time and space... He is all powerful because HE Can not be bound by any other "thing". So He is beyond our natural ability to understand this... He says He always existed... I am who I am.
Where is the beginning and ending of a circle? There is none. Same with God.

God exists outside time. He has always been there. It's a concept our small minds struggle to comprehend because we are so heavily indoctrinated in the concept of life existing for a time period.

Its hard because we are born into a world where you are born and die. But God created everything and even though its hard to imagine, God has always been. His life is eternal, always has been and always will be. That is why we will spend everlasting life with Him after we die

He came from Himself. He was, is and forever will be God. He was created from the same matter from which we all were created, by His own doing. We were created in His image. He is the same, yesterday, today and forever.

I have always wondered where he stood or rested or sat down or came from. He didn't need heaven. But he created the heavens and the earth. Makes you think doesn't it.

He's the beginning and the end. God is Love. When you love something, did you create that love?
