I have a picky eater too. It really depends on what they like. I find that if I let him help me make a snack he will eat it better. Like putting cheese around pretzel sticks. Sometimes he will put peanut butter on apple slices. Does he like pizza? Make a smiley face pizza using veggies on the face and cheese for hair. You can make people out of veggies and crackers. Make a face out of cracker and cheese then for the body use a celery stick with peanut butter. Add raisins for buttons. Then put carrot sticks for arms and legs. You may think it is silly but little kids like that. They get to be like a giant and eat their little person up. Mine even make voices and try to decide what they will eat first.

Try taking a graham cracker and putting any flavor of yogurt on it and then take any fruit that the child may like and decorate the cracker with pieces of fruit. Let the child help you it makes a fun activity as well as a healthy snack.
If the child doesn't like yogurt you can try using strawberry creme cheese or another flavor of creme cheese. I found both really work out well.

The original fast-food is bananas, raisins, and fruit that is age appro for children under 4. I'm sure you've found this out.
I also recommend graham crackers. Healthy and delicious. Easy to take with.

If you are facing a resistant toddler, let them help fix their own snacks. Here are a few ideas:
1)celery sticks, carrot sticks, and cucumber slices dipped in ranch dressing
2)celery sticks dipped in peanut butter
3)spead peanut butter on graham crakers let him/her top with banana slices
4)ants on logs: pretzels (logs) dipped in peanut butter and raisins added on top (ants)
5)cheese slices--let the toddlers cut fun shapes using cookie cutters
6)trail mix-place all in a ziploc: goldfish crakers, pretzel sticks, raisins, yogurt pieces, let child shake to mix
7)frozen yogurt or juice pops--let the child pour into ice trays or molds
8)smoothies-mix yogurt, milk and your fav fruit in a blender. Let child push the buttons!

Blubeberries!! Try them with oatmeal, probably flavored yogurt, granola, or some other crunchy flavorful cereal. Grapes and yogurt or Italian dressing with flaked salmon or tuna or chicken. There's a wealth of healthy foods out there ... explore and create!

Kids do like to dip. I mix peanut butter and karo syrup together. The clear karo. The kids and I dip apples in it. My niece would eat anything dipped in applesauce.
