Ok this may sound kinda wierd but it is the absolute best thig for any type of urine smell (dog, cats, human, rabbits, ect.) Shaving Cream. There is something in it that breaks down the smell. I have actually used it myself. I used to work at a rehabilitation center for head injured people and there was a guy that was a truck driver that flipped his truck in tennessee on the mountains. He would not get up to go to the bathroom ever and always had a smell of urine so every night when it was time for him to bathe we would make him wash with soap and then wash his private parts with shaving cream and walla smell gone. Works on furniture to.
Just moisten spot with water and rub shaving cream over spots. Take a wet wash cloth and clean up shaving cream . Let me know what you think.

We've battled this problem for years. We've bought supposedly better stain resistant carpet, but it doesn't matter. I've tried all the ideas mentioned above but the best so far is a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water or just plain club soda. One big problem is the carpet pad. If you have the usually used rebond pad, it allows the urine to saturate it. The smell will never go away (at least not to your dog). You need to have a rubber pad (which are more expensive of course) so the liquid sits on top of it and you can remove or neuturalize it. There's a newer carpet out by Hollytex that is supposedly guaranteed for 5 years against any types of stains. Most carpets exclude pet stains from their warranty.

Try the new Spot Bot by Bissel. It is a small machine that will do all the work for you. You just pour in the cleaning solution, place it over the stain and let it go to work. The Bot will scrub the carpet and get the stain out in just about 5 minutes or less. It's a little expensive, but very helpful and fun to use.

Dog urine should be removed as soon as noticed. First, take a towel or paper towels, and soak up as much urine as possible by stepping on the spot.
2) use a glass of water with several ounces of white vinegar and pour on spot, you will then see exactly where the urine is as the spot turns dark where the urine is.
3) go back to first step and soak up as much water as possible and continue till towel will not soak up anymore liquid
4)use ( "walmart's brand" is cheap) carpet cleaner to clean spot.
5)vinegar smell will keep animal from going back there again.

When I moved into my apt there were dog urine stains in multiple areas. They smelled too. In fact, they still do. Here are the things I tried (and helped somewhat):
1) Nature's miracle (full strength, follow the directions)
2) baking soda, club soda and dawn dish detergent (2tbsp,1L,1tsp)
3) baking soda and vinegar(this one is fun too)

attempt employing rubbing alcohol. I had a canines that had a urinary tract an infection and had to stay interior on a similar time as i replaced into at artwork. i attempted each and every thing and not something labored till i attempted the rubbing alcohol. It took the stain and the smell away. elementary rubbing alcohol is less costly, and it evaporates straight away. whilst it has dried up, I wiped sparkling the carpet like regular, and my carpet seems reliable as new.

Mix a bottle of household peroxide with 1/8 cup baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap. Use while foamy
Don't mix in metal, or don't put a lid on it. use it right away for best results.
