I think that over time it fades quite a bit. Of course you will always hold a special place in your heart for that person. I guess I was lucky. Years after going our separate ways, I reunited with my first love and it still didn't work out. I realized that even though I loved him, we just were not able to be together.

have you every heard the saying that you can love someone with out being in love with them. that i how i feel about my first love. I still love them and would do anything for them but i'm not in love with them anymore.

psss, you find a second one thats strong then it will knock the first one out the way, plus it aint too strong it you break apart too long
