that is a tough one. i have recently backed far away from a friendship of 10 years because of my friends son. he is soooooo rotten. i have never seen a kid act so bad in my life, and i wont let my own son be around something like that. he is loud mouthed, rude, and over bearing. do what you feel is right. sometimes, we loose someone but gain some peace of mind!

I would say the best thing you can do is to try and avoid the kid. You should stop and think why it is that you really dislike the kid. Is it because of the way he/she acts? If it's a behavioral issue you could try and address it with your friend.

How close are you and this friend? If you are really close then you'll have to find something great about the kid and focus on that. If you're not to close try and talk to her/him about what is really getting to you.

You have two choices:

1. see the friend when the kid is not around.
2. find another friend.

To be happy, pick one.
