umm actually the cold button is commonly used when your hair is already dry and it is good for added volume (but i suppose you could use it down below if you really needed to :) )

Actually if you have naturally curly hair that you dry out straight, doing a few minutes of cool air at the end of the session smoothes some of the frizziness out a little more. Don't know if that was the intention, but it sure does work for that! Also great for drying baby/toddler hair...sometimes that heat setting s way to much for silky fine baby hair. Drying fingernail polish is another use.

After blow drying the hair with a brush(partically a round brush) and the hair is still hot....keep the hair around the brush and hit the cool button to "set" the hair. It gives you a nice soft wave. Most stylists will forget the cool button and just turn the dryer around and use the exhaust to cool the hair...it is a whole lot faster.

ok why would you dry your pubic hair. no one hardly has it anymore and those who do dry it with a towel. it takes 2 seconds for it to dry. the cold air button is less damaging than hot air

Ewww! That's creative, though! The cold air button is used to "set" the hairstyle you created using the warm air. Dry your hair normally, and then hit it with some cool air to help hold the style. And for safety sake, keep that dryer ABOVE your navel! ;)

The chilly air or cool shot button lets you be certain your hair is thoroughly dry, reason f it isn't then your coiffure will purely fall flat. It also facilitates to operate shine, smooth hair, prevent and rid of frizz and lock your type in position. i love the Karmin Hair Dryer because it has 3 warmth settings and a cool shot button for the desirable blow out.

it's used to set a curl/style in place when drying. first you get the hair almost dry then with warm setting take the brush and aim the heat directly onto brush, then before removing the brush you blast the cool button on the brush to "set" the style. that's how hairstylists use the and it took off from there

The blast of cold air is good for the hair...too much heat damages the hair and makes it look GROSS!!! Also when you shower, right before you get out, give your hair a shot of COLD water!!! It helps with the shine and health of your hair!!!

I experienced this....when you are in the dominican or somewhere hot you dont need the hot air because the heat will dry it eventually for you, but having cool air makes you cool down and give your hair volume, rather than frizzing it.
