I was once told that the best way to plant chillis is to plant them inside a rusky tin. Not very sure if it's true, though coz I never tried.

We plant our banana peppers and Jalapenos in BIG plant pots with a half and half mixture of dirt and potting soil. We keep them watered daily, and we also have to hide them from the deer, as they will eat the whole plant. :-)

The more you water chili peppers the more mild they will be. If you want hot peppers you need to water them just enough so they dont die and not a drop more.
