Yorkie, they are so cute. Basset hounds are cute too, though! I don't know tough choice. I think I would feel bad for my dog if it looked sad all the time like a Basset.

I would say a basset hound . Yorkies have a tendency to bark and get stepped on . They also require lots of grooming. They get allergies from the dirt their coats pick up. Basset ts are really easy going and outside dogs really. If you want an inside dog get one from your local pound these dogs will love the fact that you rescued them and they will love you no matter what . mutts are the greatest.

Basset Hound. Yorkies can be VERY tempermental and mean. Larger dogs aren't as mean as some of those little yappy things.

Basset. Had 3. They are cuter & the howling is funny. Yorkies look like old lady dogs.

I've always been partial to the hound group. I live in the country so it is a valid option for me. I like the dachshund. They are intelligent, loyal, courageous, and loving. Unfortunately, they are tenacious, and have a deep resonant bark, and oh do they bark(good watchdogs). Overall, they are excellent companions, would be an enrichment to anyone's life.

all dogs were bred for a specific purpose. Hunting, protection, compassion, rescue, it depends on your needs. I had a pure breed German Shepard, great companion and the smartest dog I ever knew. A dog is considered man's best friend. Dont forget that they have to eat, need medical attention and you have to pick up after them, consider that before making a commitment to a life long adventure of the animal you choose.
