why do you want to know?
my practical guide to being in love is below
how do you feel?
all warm and fuzzy on the inside?
like you want to be pressed up against her?
that's a manifestation of love
like you want to be with her forever?
and no matter how she changes, or where she goes, you want to go with her? that's love
and you don't care if he looses both her arms, and both her legs an eye, and... lower regions... in a car accident, you'd still love her?
that's really love then. not just infatuation!

about unconditional love:
I say this:
I am a christian,
unconditional love towards all persons is the basis of my religions.
so yes. I love unconditionally.
I'd have to get to know the person first.
but
assuming you're christian:
that's the way god made you, and there ain't nothing you can do about it
if you aren't/ you, like me, aren't a creationist then:
you really can't help the way you are, it's all your parents' fault anyway!

so yes, I support unconditional love.
and I love unconditionally.

as for the emotions behind it.
love is a wonderful and very basic emotion.
it is present in every human. love is very closely tied in with the concept of pleasure.
in human anatomy, there is a part of the brain called the pleasure circuit, this is a chain which causes the sensation we call pleasure.
loving people unconditionally is pleasurable so. yes. I do it and so should you!

and love in my present relationship:
this:
she and I are... well very different, but I love her all the more for it. it is very hard to describe in words my feelings for her, but I shall have a go at it, though I am certian that far too much will be lost.

I once wrote her a poem
what I wanted from her:
her name has been removed to preserve her privacy.

_______
you to have
you to hold
you to love
you as my friend
forever.
no matter
what you
think
say
do
how you
look
or
speak
I'll still love you
it's you I love
and you I want
to have
to hold
forever
-----------
it's hard to explain but I hope the poem helps

love
is a very complex emotion and very primal
be careful
and kind
cautious
and true
and make sure
you don't hurt anybody
while you're at it
because those wounds may never heal.

I can't even begin to explain how it feels. You will know when you feel it though. It is the thing that everytime you hear their name you light up and can't help but smile. everything reminds you of them! You compare everyone to them and no one comes even close. You feel very safe w/ them and know that there is no way that you could ever dream of somehting better. That is only the begining of the feelings of love!

A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.

You will know when you get that feeling in your heart and body. When your with them you enjoy every moment, the happy ones and even the fights, and right before they leave you will already miss them. and when your without them you feel like your heart is aching. That is true love.

love is like breathing..when you're in love, u just can't stop... so i suggest that if u like someone, tell him/her because hearts are often broken by words left unspoken.
