I still have balance, can you extend the expiration date if you can't make full payments?

The company should send you a new one with a new expiration date. The outstanding balance stays "open" until it is paid regardless if you use the card anymore or not.

Contact your cc company to make sure a new card with a new expiration date is on the way. They usually send one automatically, but it's a good idea to call and verify.

They'll mail you a new card before your current card expires. If you are worried about it not getting to you before the expiration date call the 800 number and they'll let you know when you should be receiving it

The fact that it expires really doesnt mean much, they always send you a new one before your current one expires.

It must be your first credit card, you should let the credit card company worry about it. They expect you to spend more.
