That's easy! No, it's not pseudoephedrine, because that's present in regular Sudafed too. If you go to their website, it answers this question: "PE is an abbreviation for Phenylephrine, the active ingredient in Sudafed PE™."

When the government started to regulate pseudoephedrine (the ingredient used in making meth) the companies started looking for an alternative to it so that they could still sell their products over the counter. That's when Sudafed PE came out. The PE stands for phenylephrine, which is not the same as pseudoephedrine.

It stands for the other drug in it... it has sudeferin (spelling?) and some other drug.... sorry I couldn't be of more help.
