I personally do not like this saying. It is holding me responsible for raising kids in my village. It was someone else's choice to have a kid. Wouldn't it be fairer if people went door to door and asked the village if it had the desire to raise their kid? What if the villagers said no, I don't want you to have kids, you are already a nuicanse.

The whole purpose of the phrase is that we are an influence everywhere we go and to everyone we meet. Make it worth remembering.
