George Foreman - my ever favourite

Rocky Marciano was the greatest with a record of 49-0-0 43 ko's. The second best was Joe Louis who was champion from 1937-49. Everybody has opinions about this, but Rocky never lost and had all those knockouts and Joe was champion nearly 12 years so I would say I have a good argument.

Tough guy has some good points on this question, but if you watch the film, and watch the movement in that film, the best ever at the sweet science of boxing was Ali, without question. He had the best offense, defense, and the best moves period. Not to mention that he won the title three times aganst the best competition of any era. He was the only guy to knock Foreman out, He beat Frazier twice, and if he hadn't taken time off for military duty, he would have had more wins than he did.

ALI, plain and simple, ALI. He was the greatest ever and will never be topped. Just think if he hadn't been sick all of these years how much more popular he would be today being able to give us his opinions on boxing and adding color to a very mundane weight class for the last 15 years. ALI, there is no need to read any further, ALI,ALI,ALI,ALI
MY top five would have to include sugar ray leonard. he was unbelievable, and the best fight ever was haggler VS. hearns, followed extremely closely by ward vs gotti, I would even go as far as saying that ward vs gotti was better simply because it was 10 rounds of haggler/hearns.
