yes. churches are run like a business, and they have to be audited every year like any other company. they have to keep detailed books.

well i know there is a treasurer at our church, and sometimes the money does end up embezzled, it did by our treasurer once!

some curches have deacons who are usually older guys who attend the curch and give to the curch as well, i think they keep a good handle on the money.
