My boyfriend/bandmate/best friend came over and he told me why he was so depressed lately. We had a talk and he said this " I only have two things that are worth something, my music and you" I am crying as im typing this question because that was so sweet. He asked could he stay over and I said yes. He lying down right know. I was wondering if I should sleep with him or not.

Sex is glue for a relationship... you don't need glue. From the sound of things you have an awesome set up for a relationship. Take things slow and work through the motions with him. If you sleep with him too early, it will screw things up.
You may have been emotionally moved by what he said, but keep one thing in mind. If tonight you have sex and tomorrow he leaves, how will you feel?

I'm sorry to hear that your bf is feeling so down. You need to be supportive and caring. Show him that life is worth living even if it's only for his music and you. Encourage him to talk to a professional, because as much as you love him, you're not fully equipped to handle his depression. Be there for him. Hold him. Show him that he has your heart, because that will mean more to him than your body. I'm not saying don't have sex, because only you can make that choice. I know I like it when I'm feeling down. But if he's that depressed, he might just need you near him, so let him set the pace. Good Luck!

If you think you are ready for it, face it. But my advice is not to do because of you have sympathy for someone or peer pressure. It's only worth doing with someone you are devoted to (he's in turn as well) and you see yourself in long term relationship with him.
Seems like you are a nice and well educated girl. So don't rush, I did it when I's 21 at UCB.

Your 18 so it's not illegal.Since your asking I take it you never slept with him before. He may need help for this depression if it lasts.I hope he's not using it for an excuse for you to sleep with him.Your the only one who knows him well enough.Good Luck to both of you.

He wants sex from you, and hes counting on the "sympathy" factor. Not all men, but some, use it to get the ladies in bed.
They make you feel sorry for them, then bam, after you had sex with them, they are off to another woman and all you are is just another notch on his bedpost.
So respect yourself and don't fall for this malarky.

Don't do it! Sex is not what we guys see as the only token of love! He'll respect you in the long run! Just be extra nice to him!

No, no, no! Sleeping w/ someone is a horrible way to ruin your relationship! Besides, if you marry him, the honeymoon will mean nothing.
